A Bargain I could not refuse!
Two weeks ago it was as usual raining so we ran the Car Boot inside at Truro cattle pens where sellers get ample space to sell in the dry, towards the end of the sale I wandered around looking at some of the stalls and stopped at one stall noticing a lady pick up a jacket from the pile of clothes on the floor asking what it was and how much. The seller said it was a Teddy Boy jacket and wanted £3.00 the lady threw the jacket back on the pile so I picked it up only to find it was a genuine authentic vintage Teddy Boy Drape Jacket in very good condition.
I said to the lady seller ‘a regular’ you cannot sell that for just £3.00 my lover put it on eBay and you will certainly get more than three quid to which she said “I cant be bothered” In that case I will buy it and put it on eBay myself and I will let you know how it goes!
Lou listed the jacket with the appropriate description asking for a starting bid of only 99 pence and by the end on the seven day auction the £3.00 Teddy Boy Jacket had reached a staggering £51.34 pence.
There are a lot of our really educated customers who cannot be bothered to ‘put it on eBay’ because they do not own either laptops or computers and miss out of the opportunities available to sell, also they lack the confidence to learn how to operate a pc! It is a brilliant investment for you your family and your future and if I can work one-anyone can!
I used to hang around with Teddy Boys in my younger days but I could not afford the clothing but the real reason I could not become one of them was because I did not have enough sodding hair and could not do a ducks arse! They were great days!
By the way that’s £48.34 pence profit and I rarely buy at our sales!
