A great gamble paid off today at Mitchell!

We knew the grounds have been hit with heavy rains over the last 3/4 weeks so at Mitchell we looked on the grassed areas and decided to start the Car Boot which ended up with about 1600 people turning up to buy and sell BARGAINS.
The grassed areas at the end of the sale had stood the test and with luck and dry weather for a few days we can return for the next week with optimism.

Nice crowd of people today not one moan everyone was happy to be out in the sunshine and the fresh air and there was some absolute bargains.
Had a lovely chat with one of our devoted and loyal customers who is in the middle of chemotherapy after breast cancer had been discovered several months ago. She is such a lovely lass and has been so positive with her treatment a model patient. We wish Jenny so much luck and strength in the coming months.

By the way Our Phyllis turned up at Falmouth yesterday looking nothing more than a bit jaded. Anyway as soon as the sale was about to start a heavy shower nearly lost the event but seconds later the rain stopped-Bargain time!
I made Phyllis set her stall out with a few of her weeds and cannabis plants and she thoroughly enjoyed the next couple of hours. The colour came back into her face she had lost that inebriated look and by the time I came to help her put the tables away she looked 10 years younger. Phyllis my lover, you have got to be in it to win it! Its your life my lover. Live the life!

Someone asked ‘What has happened to Russell’? Nothing has happened to the miserable old sod that he is!

Over 25 years all his friends supported him and he has turned his back on them all and only lives within old fart walking distance so why didn’t he come to see them? Because he don’t want to and because he is still the ‘miserable old sod’ his darling wife used to say he was! Shame on you Russell!
