Are eBay and PayPal a ‘law unto themselves? YES!!

Bloody eBay and PayPal try to walk all over customers and ride rough shod so much they act as though they have more rights than our courts. As you know Louise sells on eBay under the name of 4kinel. She has built up a good reputations with over 1750 sales and 99.9% of good feedback so she takes the job seriously and at all times tries to give the customer good service & good value with quick deliveries of all sold goods.

A few week ago she sold a pair of gent’s shoes for £45.00 and posted them immediately to the buyer on receipt of the payment. Several days pass The buyer receives the shoes and says he is not satisfied with them and Louise tells the man “If you pay for the postage to return the shoes I will give you an immediate refund” with quite a lot of time wasting he sends the shoes back and when she opened the package guess what? The man sent an entirely different pair of shoes back so Lou gets in touch with eBay and says “Do not refund this man he is a con and I have sent you the pictures of the two different pairs of shoes and you will be able to see the distinct difference to the pair I sent and the ones he has returned”

Typical eBay did not reply but two days later PayPal write to Louise saying we have received a complaint about the shoes the man has sent back to you and we have refunded him from your account, so there!

“You have WHAT” says Lou “you cannot do that, you cannot give my money away without discussing the matter with me” ‘Yes we can’ says PayPal and ‘Yes we have’ “Hold on a minute” says Louise “I have sent a complete report to eBay about this man who bought one pair of shoes and after complaining about them he sent a different pair of shoes demanding a refund. I sent the full report to eBay with pictures of the two different pairs of shoes and I suggest you read the report and look at the pictures of the different shoes, this MAN is a CON artist and I want my money refunded, today please”

To be fair to PayPal they did exactly as Louise had asked and looked at the file and different pictures and actually admitted they had acted with haste and refunded the full amount of the shoes including her postage the following day, no apology just the refund!!

We constantly hear complaints about EBay and PayPal who often take the easy option and give refunds when refunds are not justified. But the main complaint is the complete lack of communication between EBay and PayPal and their paying customers (that’s you and me) so respectfully I advise all of you eBayers to keep a tight check on the activities of the filthy rich (50 billions) PayPal and EBay and do not allow them to take monies out of your account without firstly asking your permission, I am not saying they are on a fiddle but they will just take the easy way out for an easy life and have a ‘sod you’ attitude if you disagree with their actions and indifferent attitudes towards their paying public. Since eBay & PayPal first came into being I reckon there have been millions of errors in the decisions of these two who act as ‘Judge & Jury’ against you and me, Mr & Mrs Joe Public.
