SATURDAY at MITCHELL (STRICTLY no dogs allowed) at 12.00 noon & Royal Cornwall Showground at 3.00pm…..Sellers should arrive at least one hour before the start times…..

DOG BAN at Mitchell….
Please note: We have to abide the rule at MITCHELL “NO DOGS ALLOWED” which also means sellers as well as buyers. Sellers, is not acceptable to ask if your dog can stay in your car for up to 3 hours especially with the heat we have experienced over this week! NO DOGS means “NO DOGS” what part of those two words do you not understand?

Can I ask all non dog owners to keep an eye for any breaking of this rule at MITCHELL please. You may take your dogs to all of our other locations which is under serious review, however it is fair to advise all dog owners that we have received so many compliments about the dog policy at MITCHELL we are seriously considering extending the BAN of DOGS elsewhere. Sorry but I say it like it is, truth hurts but how would you like to sit in a hot sweaty car for THREE hours busting for a poo or a pee?
One old timer wants me to BAN pushchairs as well (grumpy old bugger) Geoff X

Note;
With many thousands of people attending our sales in the last few days I am never short of unrequested advice from some members of the public advising on this that and the other. I know ALL about the ‘other’ so let’s concentrate on this and that.
Back to the man who said “You should bar all of these bloody pushchairs” What planet is he from FFS? Babies and growing up kids love our Car Boot Sales where they can see and meet up with family members and get some new toys? My favourites are the STRAPPED IN pushchair kids where everyone knows where the kid is because it is normally hollering to get loose and amongst the stalls toys and goodies!

There was one screaming adorable little brat at Newquay yesterday (wheelchair clamped) totally our of control and totally pissing off a lot of people, when it took a break in screaming and snotting everywhere I thought I would bend down and tell it to STFU or shall I just undo the harness and let the kid out, which is what it wanted in the first place, but I didn’t have the balls!
Come on you young mums, you are in the country at most of our locations, it’s not all about bargains, why not sit on your arse on the grass for a wee while with your babes and take in the fresh air and why not let them run-around for awhile. There would be less screaming from the kids but more from the mums!!
In 26 years we have had a complete safety record with children, long may it continue my lovers.
I don’t adore dogs (except for Chihuahua’s) but I love kids of all ages providing they are good to their mums and good to themselves and they keep coming to our community Car Boots.

Now then this has never happened before; Paul our man who parks cars and supervises the opening of most of our locations. He started the Q at Newquay of sellers and the rows are building up when he notices a large gap being held up by a small van. Paul goes to the driver and says very politely “could you close this gap and go forward to the next car please.
Nope, says the driver “I am not wasting my fuel so I am not moving forward”
A second and third request by our ever so calm Paul is refused but the man could see Paul really meant what he was asking for MOVE FORWARD! He makes his down-trodden wife get out of the car he then takes the handbrake off and he made her push the van with him to close the space. What a total knob!!
Now then, if I had been there at the time he would certainly have saved fuel getting out of the field because Paul and I would have invited his wife to stay (she were lovely) and we would have pushed him free wheeling and his white van straight out the main gates and into the back of beyond go forth and disintegrate, how dare he humiliate his wife in such a manner. Bugger off!!
