Geoff Says column’s since 1965

During the great days of Bingo & Social Clubs I ran one of the biggest clubs in the North East the famous Majestic in Newcastle upon Tyne with up to 10,000 players each week with thousands of pounds at stake. The BINGO people were my type of people great fun to work for and identical to our Car Boot Sales of today where the majority are brilliant to get along with but you always get just ‘one person’ who can spoil all the efforts we as a team make for a great relaxing COMMUNITY event like Saturday at MITCHELL where over 4000 people enjoyed BARGAINS GALORE in fine weather. (See todays email)

Back to the Bingo, to promote the Majestic against fierce opposition like Mecca and The Essoldo Group we printed off thousands of ‘Geoff Says’ newspapers weekly which continued for many years! If anyone has got a copy of that magazine I will give twenty quid reward which I think is safe because most of the readers use them to light their fires.
Bottom line was we won the promotion and the Essoldo lost with Mecca trailing behind my popularity good looks and charm, I adored all the Geordie women as I adore all of my Car Boot ladies who are much better drivers than the men.
Well, that’s the confession Lou is trying to get out of me!!
