This Sunday is officially Mothering Sunday so it would be nice if you plan a lovely day for her. Breakfast in bed, Hotel for an early lunch then to Truro Cattle Market for the Car Boot Sale at 1.30 pm then home for a lovely afternoon tea by then she should be knackered! Burp her then get her to bed for an early night and you can then get on with your own lives. Oh, and by the way ‘TELL HER you LOVE her’as you tuck her in for a good nights sleep.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Hi Geoff,
Thank you so much for doing this- it really is very much appreciated.
I’ve had a look at your ‘Geoff Says’ page, firstly thank you again for posting the information there, the more exposure the better! However, I will need you please to adjust some of the information slightly, to ensure all potential applicants get through to the correct people and the right details are being made public.

I have listed it below so you can just copy and paste the information in place of what is currently there. I have also attached the flyer, with the same information.

ITV’S STORAGE HOARDERS IS BACK AND LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WITH BELONGINGS IN SELF STORAGE!!
Twofour Broadcast (Cornwall with Caroline Quentin, The Hotel Inspector) are producing series 2 of Storage Hoarders , presented by Aggie MacKenzie, for ITV.
Series 1 aired throughout December 2012 and January and peaked at 1.5 million viewers making it one of ITV’s best-performing daytime shows.
The show features self-storage customers who have accumulated a bit of a hoard under lock and key and would like help to de clutter their storage units as well as identify some interesting belongings and hidden treasures for auction.

Is your partner, family or friends nagging you to look at your storage situation?
Would you like some help to de-clutter and sort your stored belongings?

Could you “Skip it”, “Sell it”, “Give to Charity” or “Keep it”?
We’re looking for:
– Individuals/couples/families with items in storage that are no longer needed

– People who store belongings that are not welcome in the house

– Long-standing collectors with no space left in their home

– Those who have inherited items over the years
– Or people who just can’t let go of their stuff because it has sentimental value but currently have no place in the home
If this sounds like you or you know someone who fits the bill, please contact the Storage Hoarders team directly – they might be able to turn some of your possessions into hard cash!

Email via or telephone 01752 727 675 (calls will be charged at your normal network rate)
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 31/05/13
Thank you again Geoff!
Best,
Sarah

I know of quite a few hoarders so here is your opportunity to offload with the help of this TV programme, if you are interested you can ring Sarah direct or have a word with Lou or myself and we will get you an introduction, its time to empty the loft Mother!

One month later I meet up with Lee Miles from Roseworthy Farms/LTC Catering and he tells me he received phone calls from every Tom, Dick and Harry & Paul & John telling him that I had ‘kicked him and his catering out and I was replacing him with hot potato stalls’ what an absolute load of bowl-axe my lovers, we have new locations and Lee does not want to cater at all of them hence my advert also we advertised for fruit & veg stalls but Joey will still be with us! The main antagonist and gossip monger is Paul the plant who overdosed on calpol and gripe water as a child and has not been the same since!
Grow up you gossip mongers!
Mind I blame Lee for listening to such crap also he quite enjoys winding people up by adding his bit to inflame their imagination and has anyone noticed how he is ‘piling the weight on’
If you do not read if from me it aint true so sod em all!

Got any used carriers please?

If any of you have a carrier bag of used carriers bags to spare could you bring them along please to help with the recycling.

A customer bought a pine wall unit and the seller forgot to give the buyer the screws and bolts so asked me to help, trouble is I lost the sellers number so if you are involved with this story may I suggest Trago will probably have yr nuts & bolts.

We are hoping to be open a week earlier at Mitchell subject to ground conditions. Should any of our customers who live in the area of Mitchell see any ‘boy racers’ in these fields please try to get registration numbers which would help the police in their enquiries into vandalism in the area.

I personally went around the sellers stalls yesterday (Sunday) at Truro to almost 100 sellers to tell them “keep an eye on your stock and make sure no-one takes anything that they have not paid for” and yet within 30 minutes of the Car Boot starting I had one furious man admit someone in a green jacket had gone to his stall while mum was feeding the baby and stole money from them!!

He was so annoyed he told me what he was going to do if he finds the bloke which of course is totally the wrong way to deal with the situation! Respectfully I am pleased the two didn’t meet but unfortunately we have moved into a climate where we will see more pilferages from our sellers and we must all accept a responsibility to take full secure measures at your stall and buyers be aware you are also a target of the ‘lone thieves’

Several years ago a buyer wanted to buy a blue hat from a stall at Falmouth and noticed another buyer steal the hat from the stall and put it into her shopping bag. The first buyer came to me and said she had witnessed the hat being stolen. I checked with the seller and she was not aware but assured me that she did have a blue hat which was not on her stall. Next I went to the woman who had stolen the hat and asked her to acompany me to the stall and she immediately said to the seller “You remember me I paid you £2.00 for the hat”
“Then you are a liar because the hat was only 50 pence” replied the seller.

The hat was taken from the lady thiefette she was escorted to the main gate and we have never seen her since! That’s the way to do it by threatening violence you may hit someone and have to spend time in prison! Think first security of your stocks then you wont get uptight my lover!

4 pictures of SUNDAY!
ps; Seen Marge we thought it was a good wind-up that certainly got a lot of imaginations going.
She’s looking fine. X

A few of the regulars mentioned it was Dave’s birthday this week but in all the years I have known him he has never had a birthday before so he must be entitled to one pretty soon. Next we have got to find some loving lady to take care of him. Happy Birthday Dave you are looking your age!
Geoff Lou and our teams and Marge and all your other mates. Its your round. Can someone bring a cake for Sunday, I will bring the knife.

We had a great meeting with John Marshall who is our new Landlords KINGSLEY VILLAGE boss. We certainly have agreement to start the Car Boot Sales at the CIRCUS FIELDS on Thursday 28th March which is Easter weekend. Over the next few months there could be quite a lot of work starting in connection with new roads and possibly building of houses so we must accept disruptions however during the hours of our Car Boot Sales John has assured us the Car Boot Sales will not be disrupted. We think it is important to keep you informed as to the developements and will post further details and a plan of the former Circus Fields lands.

From Kingsley Village (fantastic Food Hall) we went to Lanhydrock expecting the fields to be still suffering from the heavy rains for months but they looked reasonably dried out. I think if we hold out till May our Car Boot Sales can go ahead this year on SUNDAYS at the new time of 3.00pm……its looking good! Next stop Long Rock. We have provided new gates and a widened entrance at Long Rock the ground conditions look reasonable but there are some water holding areas. Should be well ready for May.
Our regulars are not expected to visit all of our locations with Long Rock and Lanhydrock we are providing our services to a much wider part of Cornwall therefore will be meeting with new buyers and sellers! We expect to have customers from Plymouth & Exeter and even further afield.

Next to a secret location hard standing? This site is certainly going to be a winner for 2013
Whilst I was wandering around the grounds I was seen by 3 of our customers and I want to see how quick the rumours have started so the first person to tell me over the weekend the RIGHT locations name gets sod all!
MABE is on our doorstep the winter has taken its toll on the gravelled areas but fields are looking good and drying well. Not sure about start date yet.
It will be good to see lots of our Saturday customers at Truro when at 9.00 am we start the Car Boot Sales at this all weather location so if it rains we sell in the Cattle Pens my lovers!
Please support us we need the money! X

So do you!X

What was your answer to Q 17 ?

Lady Lynn Dearest,
Find out how I have upset Marge I am going demented with worry. X

Updated 21st February the day after my 75th Birthday and nobody sent me a card, is there no love in life!
Sorry for no posts after last few days there has been so little news about Car Boots and hopeful start days because of the ground conditions however there is hope.
We came back from a week in Tunisia which was a bloody nightmare but what a fantastic hotel but the food was almost as bad is if I had cooked it. I will do a separate story on this week where we had planned to celebrate only to find the hotel with the most beautiful bar ever did NOT sell any wines beers or spirits! !

Back to Car Boots; We looked at Newquay Circus Fields where the wintered horses had done a lot of damage to the Circus Field itself and almost chewed up the fencing fronting the gates! If any of you horse fanatics (garden furniture) want to buy a cheap horse go to Logs & Coal and ask for SID!!
Top selling field and parking fields looking in reasonable shape so I want to aim for EASTER! We have new Landlords KINGSLEY VILLAGE who are planning for housing and shopping complex at the Circus Fields we will be at the same venue but moved around until the completion of this huge developement. Meeting with them tomorrow!

It has got to go on record that our previous Landlords brothers Richard & Will Roberts will be missed for they always kept the grounds in excellent condition and were decent Landlords to a certain extent, we have had some bloody good punch-ups and rows and over the years but I admire them both. One year I accused the Circus of taken up too much space and it caused such a row that boss of the Circus told all of his team that I was stopping them working which was not true. They had a meeting at the bottom of the field and decided they would attack me! Oh my god! They started walking up the field in a wide ring making it look like the ‘gunfight at the ok corale’ and the only person with me was BROTHER WILL who walked towards them with the arrogance of Mussolini talks to the group and then claims he just ‘saved my life’ I dont know if that is true or not because I was hiding out in one of the portaloo’s! That’s not true the gang of circus performers came to ask me what the problem was it all ended friendly and they with the other circus teams are allowed complimentary passes to the Newquay Car Boot Sales during their stay. The Roberts brothers are nice family with larger than life characters thank you ex-Landlords = 3 out of 10 GOTCHA!!
*The latest news on Newquay can be seen in next item but the brothers will maintain the grounds as previously which is great for our customers who often compliment how well presented the fields are.

Mitchell is looking good for this time of the year there are several areas holding water but Landlord says work is starting and Easter should be a realistic proposition.
Falmouth Rugby Club hardstanding car park is full of holes and a disgrace. Its high time the Landlords Cornwall Council did something in the interest of public safety to re-tarmac the grounds it was their workforce years ago who did most of the damage in the first place. And why should’nt they do it for the great Car Boot COMMUNITY of up to 45,000 who visit our sales each year!
On top of our rent we have offered £1000.00 to the club towards permanant repairs to the grounds. For the record I offered myself as Chairman to the Falmouth Rugby Club several years ago but was knocking my head against the wall in the very political way the committee worked. As I had no experience in Rugby (true)I was not even considered! Now consider this! If I had taken over as Chair would the ground conditions and presentation of the club be better and would the club have been more successful? You BET!!! You BET!! The only person who supported me was Arthur Williams which was like the kiss of death but he would have been a good team mate to run the club. In the good old days 20 years ago the committee were superb to deal with and we were on the pitch nearly all summer. We dont see much of John Dryden who was our boss and the Club Secretary! Great bloke-mutual respects and co-operation!
Anyway I would think we can start on the 8th March at 12.30 pm but lets all pray for the holes to be filled in by start date!

Truro had an exceptional Sunday I am informed by Rachel when they had to turn buyers away because of the ground conditions but the upside was over 90 sellers served bargains for 2 hours to over 1300 men women and kids, great event & nice people! Thank you for your support.

I have enclosed some VIAGRA adverts and pictures that are a bit risky so kids ask your Mum if you can look, if not you can?

Does anyone know how Marge is and what I have done to upset her she is just not talking to me! What have I done? what did I do?

By the way the two persons who recommended Tunisia was ANNIE and her mafioso mate!!

18 pictures!! some horny!

We are delighted to welcome as regular sellers for our season MOUSEHOLEFISH.COM who will attend our weekly sales, we will be pleased to consider any other professional trades who would add variety and value for our customers totalling over 350,000 in a season…..

Hi Geoff,

Thank-you indeed for accepting us to your wonderful array of car boots and we will try our absolute hardest to further enhance and underline your fantastic reputation. We have enclosed a few photos for you. Emma, my better half will be running the stall and I will assist her when not out fishing. Our stall measures 8 feet (wide) by 4 feet ( deep) and perhaps is 6 feet in height. We have literally just bought it this week ( Monday) and haven’t had a chance to put it together yet or indeed take photos. Will send some photos of the stall asap though. We will certainly have our own public liability insurance in place and the certification to show to you before our first car boot.

In the meantime we have attached a few photos of our boat and us and there are a lot more on our website www.mouseholefish.com – there is even a daily blog on there which tells everyone what we are doing and catching each day. Incidentally we are a static gear boat and not a trawler so our environmental impact is minimal. We are what is known as a “day boat” and land our catch on the same day that we catch it. At car boots we shall be selling our fish that is only a maximum of 12 hours old i.e it will be caught throughout the night and or/same morning.

Regards,

Colin & Emma
