If we cannot go ahead with MITCHELL on SATURDAY we certainly will go ahead at TRURO at 10.00am
however if the grounds conditions at NEWQUAY are good we could run a 5.00 pm Car Boot Sale at the CIRCUS FIELDS!
SUNDAY
If the ground conditions are not acceptable at MABE we will most certainly transfer to TRURO at 1.30 pm
Update 6.00 pm then 6.00 am
The could be a ‘pain in the arse weekend'(see picture) on the other hand it could be good for you to sell the fewer the sellers you more you take, the fewer the sellers the less WE take but the buyers are always willing to buy!

More bargains to reveal on Monday!

The best possible way to buy a bargain is to look around at some of our Car Boot Sales and sure enough you will find one! Whilst the sellers are setting up their stalls and the buyers Q is growing I walk around the stalls to check on what is being sold in particular GUNS & KNIVES but I also see STUNNING BARGAINS which I am never tempted to buy! These bargains are for you the buyers to ‘GO FIND’ This 19th Century THEODOLITE Signed Thoughton & Simms LONDON is in perfect condition and was sold at our Newquay Car Boot Sale! We have to inspect the fields after the promised rains before the end of this week. It is a good location ideal for those using the A30 and A39

Following these inspections we can decide the start date but we certainly would not start until the ground conditions are ideal, wrong decision we could ruin the field and the rest of what promises to be a great season.

Loads of interest fromm all areas buyers and sellers, could be some STUNNING BARGAINS here!
The fields are next door to BODMIN Rugby Club.

What is the best BARGAIN you have ever bought at one of our Car Boot Sales tell me all about them and if possible I would like pictures and I promise not to divulge any personal information about you should you wish to remain anonymous!

The best bargain Louise ever bought was at Penryn Motor Auctions way back before Car Boots Cornwall started probably 1987 we used to own Dig & Delve a secondhand shop in Swanpool Street, Falmouth.
We would empty stocks into the van on Saturday nights and Q from 5.00am to take up the 3 regular spaces in the auction showrooms which started at 8.00am it was so well supported the sale lasted until about 5.00pm and NO-ONE was allowed out earlier than 4.30pm.

I would set the stall up while Lou went around the buying stock for the shop, one day she came back laden with bargains I pointed her to the new seller who had arrived opposite.
To her absolute amazement she pulled a large polythene bag from under piles of other items to discover number 1 to 36 of The BEATLES magazines in perfect condition and other musical books but she realized she had ‘HIT THE JACKPOT’ when in the same package she found three 8″x10″ photographs of the band all signed by The Beatles! John, Paul, George & Ringo!

‘How much would you like for these’ asked Lou?
‘well I did want to sell them separately but if you want all of them I would need £3.00’
Deal done Lou returned to our stall saying ‘DONT OPEN you will be amazed what I have just bought’ and put the package under the counter.
Before we left the seller said ‘You are the people who bought the pictures and books of The Beatles I was going to bring the records are you interested in them? I arranged to go to the house to view but my knowledge of records was so limited until I opened the case to discover all of The Beatles Rolling Stones and other top bands of the time in mint condition!
I asked the seller ‘How much’ and was asked for twenty pounds the lot! This is where my conscience kicked in, we had already got the books and signed pictures but I knew nothing about values of records so I offered fifty pounds for the lot and the buyer was delighted!

Bottom line was this, I put the records out on sale in the shop for the guide prices advertised and they shot out within 4 days making upwards of £350.00 I had obviously undercharged because one dealer told me had had made £250.00 on 4 of the LP records he had bought so everyone was happy!

Once we had received confirmation that the AUTOGRAPHS were authentic the lot was sent to a London Collectors Auction who in due course sent a cheque for just over £1000.00

Bottom-bottom line! The seller contacted me several more times selling unwanted items and I always paid a bit more than the asking price.
I paid £100.00 for a set of house curtains sold them on for £150.00 and the buyer promptly sold them for a staggering £800.00!
What goes round-comes round my lovers!

TRUE!

Lu will not let me buy a couple of these for my dog…….talking to my friend Annie she had three wild rabbits given to her which are skinned and in the freezer awaiting a ‘wild RABBITS’ party! The mind boggles……..

I have been vegetarian with Lou for several years but recently the smell of BACON drove me back to meat. We bought a rabbit from Kingsley Village and Lou made a rabbit pie, she devoured three quarters (still eating) and the quarter I had was lovely.

Tell you what I will give you a tenner for the lot if you dont sell them, I may even get an invite to Annie’s party! Bring your own RABBIT and batteries! WHAT!

2 pictures!
By the way KINGSLEY VILLAGE do some really good value on their meat counters with DOG BONES which you cannot buy in the other supermarkets.
The plastic bag full of bones for ony ONE POUND is great value! You ask our dog NANA MOON!

ps; Please dont touch her she is a NASTY BITCH!

TUT TUT-Bad manners!

Circus Fields Car Boot Sale today 12/06/2012

A young man bought an electric guitar from a stall after asking does it work? The lady sellers assured him ‘yes it works’ and without bartering he paid the asking price of £25.00
Delighted with his purchase he left the boot sale and went to a local Newquay music shop and asked the Manager if he would test the guitar!
A quick test revealed it was at fault and deffinately did not and would not work! He came back to the sale accompanied by the shop manager to confront the lady seller and ask for a refund of his 25 quid!
She immediately went on a ‘rude defensive’ attitude accusing the young buyer of breaking the instrument and refused to refund!
Quietly and politely the buyer related the story to me!
We have in our rules ‘If a buyer is asked does the item work and it is tested and found not working then the buyer is entitled to a full refund without question’
Louise is a legal executive and I asked her to accompany the man to ask again for his refund to the seller! The daughter of the seller said ‘Give the refund Mum’ but Mum was adamant not to refund however daughter and Louise eventually persuaded a refund was the right way to resolve the problem. Had the refund not been given the seller would be told ‘You are not welcome to any of our Boot Sales because the buyer bought the item in good faith and you broke that contract with him by claiming the guitar worked!

If you SAY it WORKS it MUST by LAW! Read our TRADING STANDARDS page!

Apart from that a lovely day allthough there is some gossip brewing about me that I must investigate!!
