We were all surprised and pleased that 44 sellers turned up to our Car Boot Sale at PAR MARKET today. There were a total of over 500 visits to the sale with plenty of BARGAINS and some of the sellers told us of some good takings. A big thank you to all who supported today with 18 of the sellers using the £3.00 off vouchers which saving will pay towards fuel costs.

For an experiment next week I am going to change the sale around using the current parking area for the sale and buyers will then park in the current selling area. Reason? Some of the buyers arrive and cannot see how many sellers there are and decide not to come in to the sale, but if the sellers are in view of the public I believe we will get more buyers hence more chance to improve your takings!

One thing that is noticeable about St Austell is that the people are so nice and pleasant and seem appreciative to have the Thursday midday Car Boot Sale at this fantastic location with toilet facilities that are ***** Star!!
I asked for people to comment and give me their views regarding MONKEY TREE in particular have we got the right date and the right time? The answer from our survey is a resounding NO with the majority of opinions suggesting we move the day to SATURDAYS at 12.00 noon and I agree with their suggestion, so this is how it goes big nose!

We have two weeks on SUNDAYS at 9.00am this year which I want to honour (subject to weather) but we will re-start the Car Boot Sales at MONKEY TREE in the NEW YEAR on SATURDAYS at 12.00 noon and if it is as successful as our customers believe it can run nearly all year round……Watch this space for the starting date in 2014 my lovers!

Brazil is famous for its annual Miss BUMBUM and these ladies are the finalist in the 2013 November Miss BUMBUM competition. The first 3 sellers or buyers who can write down the name of this years winner will get a FREE TO SELL voucher for any location.

Ps; I am thinking of doing a Miss BUMBUM competition and SHOWTIME day at one of our locations this year to celebrate our 25 years running Car Boots Cornwall. May need quite a few judges for this one?
