PAR MARKET a GREAT success

Thank you to all of the sellers and buyers for turning up at our first Car Boot Sale at PAR MARKET yesterday. The first ever Car Boot is always a bit nerve wracking but I had said if we get 15-20 sellers I would be happy. We had 26 sellers so I was delighted with over 350 people attending in all and remember there was no-one there last week!

Success, well done to all of our supporters however it seems that someone went through the queue at Truro on Sunday telling everyone “The first car boot at Par is cancelled till next week” WALOBs! It’s like we used to have one old git with nothing better to than mischief make known as the ‘Artful Dodger’ Anyway he would go round the stalls in Newquay telling everybody “this is the last one this year” the total knob! He might have done it as a dislike for me but our car boot community crowds look forward to and enjoy our car boots so to confuse the public is dangerous so his arse was verbally kicked OUT with the second parting word from me word was “OFF” !

Par Market are celebrating the fact they are now officially allowed to open 7 days a week which in time will bring the huge crowds that used to visit the Market and our Car Boots in the late 90s when Restormel Council made life very difficult for Market Traders and Car Boot Sales. I believe the future for the Market and us is bright which is seriously good for St Austell and good for Cornish Market World who has been superb in their negotiations with Car Boots Cornwall. Claire Hancock the site Manager was delighted with our first ever Car Boot, (thank God to meet a nice Claire) that is 2 Claire’s who are nice and they are both my Landlords. Woman is the Boss and I can cope with that BUT not in my house!!

My Lou has gone for her annual pilgrimage to visit her mum to learn the fine arts of becoming ‘the complete BITCH’ I told her not to bother she has become one already! Anyway I took her to the station and off she went to Cheshire and I breathed a great sigh of relief at last RESPITE!! The break I deserved, I don’t know what’s wrong with her lately I think she may be in the change which really worries me, her mother (bless her) has been in the change for the entire time I have known her which is over 30 years my lovers! Anyway the gossip on Lou’s dad, as you knows he had cancer with his ‘down below problem’ and had all sorts of remedial treatments and was given the all clear. Recently he has had the problem that he wants ‘a pee’ all the time and sometimes he doesn’t make it to the loo in time! Then don’t drink so much you silly sod!

St Kitts!
At last we have decided not to go back to St Kitts and this year I shall take you all to Mauritius and send blogs and pictures of the exciting life style of the locals who crowd the beaches from 7 in the morning. Last time we went there Lou took on a swarm of jellyfish so there is bound to be some drama’s to report especially as we are going self catering!

We do love St Kitts but it is a very-very corrupt country from the Prime Minister and his Government to the population. Everyone seems to be ‘on the fiddle’ to survive and with a 20% VAT introduction the crime rate will increase. When we first went in 1993 I used to suffer dreadful pains and had to take a chair to be seated most of the time, Chalawa the head of the family whom we have known for the 20 years suggested ‘hey man get some smoke into you to relax yourself man then you can move around and get some exercise without pain man’
20 years later I still have some pain, I still have a few smokes but I am much fitter than I was in 93 and I can say without doubt that cannabis has played a major part in my being able cope with the pains so therefore I would advocate that Cannabis is legalized in this Country once and for all. So many American states are now legalizing Cannabis and one state has taken the bold opportunity to take a TAX of 25% with half going towards schools and the rest invested into the Cannabis Industry so the government ensure the safety of the Industry.

You as a person are allowed to own Cannabis Seeds you can buy them sell them or give them to a friend but you cannot put them into soil to grow them yet you can grow tobacco in your garden which is far more harmful than Cannabis.
The Chinese whispers started about me someone even wrote to one of my Landlords telling them I was selling millions of pounds worth of Cannabis at the Car Boots. The daft bugger!

Now then, let’s talk Car Insurance! I received my annual reminder from my Insurance Company which was well over four hundred quid so I looked up eBay typing in my car registration number asking for insurance quotes. Within about half an hour I got back to my insurance company and told them “I have found Insurance quotes the same as you are offering for £105.00 less and I do not want to leave your Company but I do want you to price match please” Guess what! They agreed and my policy has just arrived confirming the huge saving so it pays to challenge your Insurance companies and if you shop around you will save money.

Thank you again for your support at Par lots of people made comments about Marge not showing her face at the first one some putting it down to age others told me her passport had expired but in her place was Queen Rosie with her man ‘in waiting’ Gordon. She only brings him to act as chauffeur and to pay for and carry the shopping.

And finally, A man asked ‘why are you not doing your Geoff Says any more’ I am, I just have been busy! Sorry for any delay! No I’m not……….Geoff x
