I had noticed a sign outside the Quintrell Inn months ago advertising a Car Boot Sale on Saturday afternoons which I thought a bit odd because we had Mitchell just down the road and it would be packed to capacity.
Anyway the sign lasted a couple of weeks so I assumed the idea was dropped.

Two weeks ago when the Circus Fields came to the end of the season I walked into the QUINT and said ‘How would you like a Car Boot Sale in your Car Park for a few weeks’
They were delighted to give it a try and Car Boots Cornwall would run it for them FOR FREE and obviously free to the public!

We got a very creditable 16 stalls for the first Car Boot and the sellers did take money but the pleasure given to some of the locals was immense ‘Wow! We got a Car Boot on our own Doorstep!

I have always had the idea to run a street Car Boot where all the neighbour participate selling in front of their houses with other carbooters in the drives. Close the street off with loads of parking for the buyers nice party atmosphere, few drinks, you all do your catering to sell, nice bit of music, so here is the challenge! Have a go!
We would organise and publicise it for you!

Thank you to the solid bank of regulars the buyers and dealers who supported us it is now up to the Landlords to deal with the catering, it a nice pub go inside and have a look!
