After careful consideration and a site meeting today I decided that the FAIRFIELDS site in Coach Lane would not be suitable for Car Boot Sales taking into consideration the large volumes of traffic at our events. It would certainly be unfair on the local residents to burden them with this disruption. However I love Redruth and Camborne many thousands of our regulars customers come from the two areas so it would be nice to regionalise by having one of our sales near to them saving on fuel expenses. If you can find a suitable location for one of our sales we will you pay £500.00 reward for your efforts. The location will have good main roads preferable at a roundabout and the minimu area required would be 14 acres. There is a very good package deal for our existing and future Landlords. All is required is that the fields are ready and safe to use we do the rest and deliver the rent-same day! How about the back garden Mother!
PLEASE NOTE: New rules concerning LARGE Vehicles and TRAILERS:
We regret we are unable to allow Mobile Homes, Campers, Lorries, Farm Trailers, Horse Boxes and any other large vehicles to sell at MITCHELL or FALMOUTH. We will review other locations and advise. We recommend owners of the above vehicles go to NEWQUAY CIRCUS FIELDS subject to space available.
We must remind all concerned our business is CAR boot sales which are our priority.
SUNDAYS; The above also applies to MABE but arrangements could be made for the vehicles referred to above to be parked on the outer hedges however the main body of the selling areas will be STRICTLY for CAR BOOT stalls only!

Please do not arrive at our Car Boot Sales half an hour after the sale has started flashing these blasted BLUE DISABLED passes expecting ‘front row’ parking cos it aint gonna happen!
Two of these pass holders today were most offensive to our team because they were told ‘sorry you should have come earlier’
These passes have NO AUTHORITY on private land but we do try to accomodate holders where possible at our busy locations!
Lets face it the majority of disabled people need EXERCISE what better way than for a good healthy walk in the country and some fresh air!
Just what the Doctor ordered!
Stop moaning there is always someone worse off than you my lovers!

Footnote; These lessons are in response to a distasteful advertisement printed in the West Briton on behalf of the no-name car boot that didn’t happen.
Several of our customers complained to me about the advert placed on behalf of the organiser whom my readers are familiar with see;

I have written to the West Briton advising them of the complaints and I will take issue with them today.
For the benefit of the NO NAME car boot started yesterday in gwenear this is what rows of cars look like!
4 Sellers and NO BUYERS!

This is our BECKS she is 24 years old 4’11 inches TALL and is well loved by us and all of our regular customers. She is a delight to work with and the confidence she has gained in the 4 years she has been with us is commendable.
Today she was at the gate allowing the sellers in to queue for the Car Boot Sale due to start at 12.30pm Most buyers know we cannot allow them in with their cars until the start time due to limited space available.
One man refused to accept BECKS telling him he cannot park inside he was the same man who on two previous weeks had been verbally abusive to her when she told him to park outside like the others and wait for the start! Again he was abusive using foul language as he drove away to park the other side of the road.
Becks then told Jackie about the man pointing him out and Jackie said “The last time I had trouble with him he was rude to me because I would not let him in, he then had a pee in a milk bottle with and gestured as if he was going to throw the contents at me”
Becks had heard enough and phoned Lou to say she was going to BAR the man giving her reasons.
She marched across the road to the man to say “I am a senior member of Geoff’s team and I am barring you for your most offensive language and that means you are BARRED from all of Car Boots Cornwall location” I arrived at the gate in time to see the man drive off but a most satisfied Becks and Jackie were happy with the outcome, however if I had been at the gate a minute earlier I would have contacted the Police to arrest him for his offensive behaviour and abuse and we didn’t get his number! Did you witness any of this?
