GREAT FIRST MITCHELL!

Hello my ‘fine weather friends’
The first Car Boot Sale at MITCHELL was a great success with many buyers and sellers returning from their hibernation slumber winter.

Nice to see so many teenagers taking part!

We are recession free at our events and when it comes to finding REAL BARGAINS then Car Boots Cornwall is the best place to start.

eBay earns a FORTUNE from Car Boots. I met 4 buyers who had bought bargains which have been listed on eBay already to earn a profit.

A great day and special thanks to the Landlord & his team for the superb ground conditions!

ENJOY and get a decent WALK some of you have put on a lot of weight in the Winter, may all your BARGAINS be GOLDEN!

Missed you all.

Say what you like but I do listen to our customers.

Lots of buyers and sellers from the TRURO area asked if we can keep Truro open for a couple of weeks extra even though TRURO & MABE started at the same time.

Today over 4700 visits were made to both sales and it was a huge success.

Dont forget TRURO will be starting this SATURDAY at 10.00 am and the last SUNDAY is on 17th April at 1.30 pm

Thank you,

Geoff

It was a great atmosphere meeting up with some of our ‘fine weather friends’ who we have not seen since October when their hibernation started!
I am happy for two over 70s who told me last season ‘we are giving it up-we are too old’

They are looking great and delighted to be chatting to friends from previous years.

Not many tourists around but we saw some GREAT BARGAINS!

On Sunday with 197 stall and over 2700 buyers we received a complaint from a buyer who had seen a KIDS GARDEN HOUSE on display at a stall and immediately asked ‘how much’
‘Sold it’ was the reply.

A deal was done before the buyers were allowed and this is clearly breaking the rules of ‘FAIR PLAY’ to all concerned.

NO BUYING, NO SELLING, NO RESERVING until the HORN STARTS THE SALE

I have BARRED 2 customers recently who wanted to bend the rules by gaining an unfair advantage over genuine buyers.

We stand for FAIRNESS all around not fo a minority but for the MAJORITY!

By the way the complainant blamed Louise which was a bit unfair but funny!

Many years ago in Dig & Delve a woman customer was so rude to me I was rude back and she demanded to speak with my boss to complain so I gave her Lou’s number.

The woman ranted for several minutes and when Louise got a word in she said “I absolutely agree with everything you say and he will be sacked” then put the phone down! Biatch!

Dont BUY it then LEAVE it!!

This year so far at TRURO, over 15 buyers have bought items at stalls saying “Can I pick it up later” and completely forgotten to collect.

DAVE forgot his saucepans, 3 customers forgot toys, Gypsy Mother forgot the bedding but the one to top it all bought several items from stalls and left her purchases worth we believe over £200.00
What a NUTTER!

At the end of the last 4 Car Boots at Truro we have had sellers come up to say they had sold items but the people did not come back for them.

We cannot be held responsible for your absent-mindedness and the seller has kept their end of the bargain!

Your LOSS! Wake UP!!

ps; I did this in Cambridge years ago!

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!

You cannot expect to come to our Car Boot Sales without having the rent to pay for your stall.

In the last 4 weeks over 30 sellers did not have money to pay to sell, it is unfair to all sellers who pay the required stall fee.

With immediate effect we will adopt the procedures like Hayle & Roseudgeon.

NO RENT-NO SELLING! Thats fair!

GOSSIP!

Great Sunday with over 2500 people in attendance and loads of BARGAINS!

We ask all buyers to arrive EARLY to avoid traffic delays please.

Cannot give you dates to the start of the season some of the grounds are very wet, as soon as I know it will go into this site.

PORTH is looking good however there is some opposition from a neighbour. When we first looked at PORTH we did a survey and the locals were most happy to support a COMMUNITY Car Boot Sale at a superb location.

Tretharis School could well be our winter indoor venue in Newquay.

Return to FLAMBARDS negotiations. Now that FLAMBARDS share the main entrance with SAINSBURYS I strongly believe HELSTON deserves a good Car Boot Sale at a brilliant location.
